Hello everyone I'm excited to be part of this group. I conceder myself a "novice" griller and new to smoking. I've had a Char-griller for over 16 year's. It's mostly been used during bigger gatherings and cooked a lot of burgers and hot dogs. This year was the first year I used it for smoking. I put the coals and wood on one side of the grill and the Ribs on the other. It worked ok and the ribs turned out great. I followed Myron Mixon's recipe for the most part. Barbeque Pit Master's has me all fired up about BBQ !. Santa brought me a side fire box for Christmas. I did some test fitting today and took measurements, I plan on updating the grill with extending the smokestack adding a baffle and tuning plates. Also shelving the factory temp. gauge and installing two gauges lower and at both ends and sealing it up.
