Hello from FL

Hello all. I am extremely new to smoking (haven't even fired my new baby up yet). Have read and researched on a bunch of different sites until my dad emailed me this one. Have to say I love this site!! I have a gas "Authentic Smoke Hollow Wood Smoker". Don't know why it says wood smoker when it's clearly gas, but it does. I got it for my birthday from my dad who is amazing when it comes to smokeing and grilling anything, along with a 8lb Boston Butt, every spice known to man, and a thermometer (very professional looking). The best present I think I have ever got! Right now I'm trying to come across a good starting point for "my" rub. Any suggestions would be great.
