Hi, My name is Dan, and I live in Northern California. I've been a lurker for years, and have smoked with my Great Outdoors Smoky Mountain propane smoker from Walmart. It has worked well, but I got tired of all the work it took to maintain a constant, low, smoky temperature.
I saw a Traeger pellet grill a few years ago at a BBQ store, and was impressed with the concept of using pellets to smoke, and a constantly feeding fuel system. This seemed like a much better idea than my propane smoker. About a week ago, I got serious about getting a pellet smoker, and began to research Traeger grills.
In my research, I found Green Mountain Grills, and decided that I like the added features of the GMG. Yesterday, I picked up a GMG Daniel Boone, with remote control. I really look forward to smoking some delicious meals with this grill, and I'm sure that I will get many recipies from, and have many questions for, this forum.
