Hi! I've been browsing this forum somewhat accidentally for the passed few weeks (most of my google searches led me here), signed up for the e-course, and figured i'd go ahead and join. It was inevitable, my wife always picks on me 'cause i'm a member of so many different types of forums when i get interested in different hobbies :)

Anywho, I'm new to charcoal grilling, and have really enjoyed cooking with indirect heat on my Weber OTS. I bought it maybe 3-4 weeks ago, and have used it 4-5 nights/week since. I'm looking into getting my first ECB smoker soon, and i've been researching all the necessary/preferred mods for them. I'm leaning towards the split-door vertical box. I've cooked for years on my gasser, and I just recently got introduced to charcoal grilling, indirect cooking, and using wood chips/smoke. Hoping to cook up some ribs on my Weber this weekend, we'll see how that pans out. But anyways, hello all, love this site by the way :)

to SMF We're happy you found us!

I too love forums and have learned so much about different things on them! I think reading peoples personal experience and getting their advice is so much more beneficial than from the propaganda of websites trying to sell something!

I think you will find SMF one of the best forums you have ever joined! The people here are so knowledgable and helpful it still amazes me!

Howdy my friend. Wonderful place here & great/friendly guys & gals here. Get ready to learn something new every visit. Take some pics of your smokes & share...
