The people working there are saying they don't have it?  Lowes is really bad for employing people that do not know what expanded metal is or that they sell it.

Go to metal angle/sheet metal area and look next to that in the vertical storage racks.

If they truly don't have it, try HD.

If all else go to metalsupermarkets.com
