And as far as yours (prostate) goes... That's just a walk in the park anymore for the medical team... Myself, I've went through the radiation treatment (32) ... All is fine now for last 3 years...

So let that be the least of your worries, brother... We're here for ya ...

Agreed, we are all glad its not the bad kind. And thank you!

I really hate this news. Well, glad to hear yours isn't nearly as bad as your daughter's. What really tears me up is your grand daughter and her age. I can't imagine how you and your family can cope with that. Prayers for you and your daughter, heck, the entire family and friends. Sorry, but I just can't get it out of my head that that little girl may not have her mother around to see her grow up. I've got tears in my eyes and a pain in my heart due to that. I've never been very good at knowing how to help people in you and your family's in situations like this. If you ever need something please let me know. We are only a few hours apart from each other so let me know. I'll be happy to do anything I can do to help.

She and you are in my prayers Dave. Definitely know your pain having gone through this with both my mother and best friend.

I’m sorry to hear about you and your daughter’s health issues. I received the news that I had prostate cancer 8 years ago. I had the robotic surgery and I have been cancer free since. It was a difficult decision with which treatment to choose but it was one and done for me. You can PM me if you want to discuss my experience with it.

Pls keep us posted. Talking is good for everyone. I'm praying for you all

Oh man, my heart is saddened. I hate to hear this Dave. You and your family are on my prayer list my friend.

Thanks again for all the prayers and support. Its hard to talk about, but it helps.

Small update, first procedure is Monday morning. Its called cryoablation. New chemo starting Monday afternoon. She gonna be down for the count for a few days. My wife will be staying with her for a while while I run support both here and there.

We will be thinking and praying for you all!

Dav, I am praying for you and Family. This is a tough time, I know. Sometimes life feels crushing, precisely to drive us to rely on God more deeply.
2 Corinthians 12:9
‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’

Keep up the fight/encouragement.

Dave , this is just terrible news , and the update on your daughters issues. Our hearts break for her and her family. And for you and your wife and family.

There is nothing I can say other than , just do everything possible that you can to keep a good fight going. For both of you .

This just sucks in the most possible way. I hope Mondays procedure and the chemo are on a better road to better news.

The cryoablation was yesterday. 20 tumors were frozen/killed. It was more than expected, but the doc say that area is clear of cancer for now. Its very painful due to the volume of work done.

Tissues were collected and sent for more chemo testing, including the clinical trial drug. Praying they find a drug that kills this s**t or at least slows it considerably.

2 more procedures to go...for now.

Well that sounds like a pretty good start.
Hopefully they can keep everything on a good path. We're still praying for you guys.

Dave, sorry so late to reply. We are very sorry to hear this. You and your Families are in our prayers.

Dave sorry to read she's in a lot of pain right now but glad they got that area clear. Hopefully the chemo will work and she can get in remission. Still praying for all of you

Update: My daughter went in for cryoablation on "a few spots"....well that was 20. She ended up in the hospital for a week, it was pretty bad. And the hospital stay delayed the clinical trial. the clinical trial people were not liking the hospitalization, blood transfusions, and all the other complications.

Now she needs to be reevaluated for the CT on Monday and hopefully start Tuesday.

We made dinner for her fam and spent some time there yesterday. The consensus is the cancer is taking over. Its pretty rough times.
