Here's a new orchid for us!

This Just In .... Who Knew?

The flower is called Hanging Naked Men, so do not Google Hanging Naked Men

or you might really see Naked Men.

It is called Orchis Italica, or The Naked Man

Orchid.

So funny, they come in all sorts of shapes and, umm sizes.

Very nice!  I couldn't see your pics, so I googled it. That is a very nice orchid. Trying to grow Orchids is one of my failed hobbies. I can do phaelenopsis with out much issue. It seems like I can't kill them, but anything else.... nope ain't gonna happen. Even my native orchids don't like me.

I've tried orchids 3 times..... even the one variety that is supposed to be "tough as nails and hard to kill"....... well..... I don't have any orchid plants... Dandelions..... that's another story..... and I'm good at morning glory too.....

I can't see the picture of your naked man Dave, but I prefer the "naked lady" my brother-in-law has them growing in his yard on the Oregon coast!
The hardy amaryllis?  I have a LOT of those in my gardens. They look like giant daffodils in the spring, then the foliage dies back and they're invisible until they bloom in late summer.

Once when I was working at a small college, they were demolishing a house and I salvaged the gardens - I found a patch of 300+ of those bulbs, they were like a seam of coal.

The only thing I have growing is some cooking herbs.

If I was "photo shopping" I definitely would come up with something better than that..... Not that that's bad or anything but really, photo shop flowers.... HAHAHAHAHAHA

Hey Dave, Those are pretty neat, I've never seen them before, Thank's for posting them. Never tried to grow orchids '
