I saw a newer post on their web site that might be helpful to anyone using them. Apparently seasoning them with an onion cut in half and forcefully rubbed on very hot GrillGrates puts a super hard non stick coating on them that's good to 1000° f.
I'm doing a lot of searing on my RecTec and it works, nothing sticks.
