Quick, easy and delicious biscuits and gravy for breakfast last weekend. Used this recipe with buttermilk for the biscuit dough: https://sugarspunrun.com/easy-homemade-biscuits/ . Folded in some leftover ground pork/bacon blend that I didn't use in the rolled pork loin. Rendered down some more of it for the gravy and used the fat (along with some butter) as the base. Seasoned the gravy heavily with Meat Church Holy Voodoo for a creole flavor. Got inspired to cook the biscuits in my Camp Chef after seeing another poster do the same (unfortunately cannot remember who it was at this point). They went at 400 degrees on the top rack for about 20-25 min. Topped with the creole gravy and some sliced green onion for a fantastic breakfast!
Biscuits headed to the smoker (can you pick out the last one? lol)
All done! With one broken up as a sampler of course
Plated up with creole gravy and green onion! Check out those layers--such a good biscuit recipe and the grill flavor made them out of this world!
Bonus: Had some leftovers of this and sliced pork roll I did before, so figured why not put it all together haha
