When using a blanket. Do people remove it when done smoking. I take it off clean off the grill and leave it on when I cover it. Is this a good or bad thing to do

That would depend how you store it, mine is in the carport so I leave it off, fog will roll thru and wet it , I use a moving blanket and don't use it if over 250 ,

I have an insulated cover and I leave it on all winter. i normally only put in once and remove once per year. never an issue.

thanks will be leaving it on till weather gets warmer here, I found that the pellet dust is more on certain pellet brands, you see it after you smoke hiding under the cover. I am using CC pellets now not a dust issue from when I used Traeger pellets. I wipe it down and put it back on, thanks for the advise

Welding blanket left on, but kept in heated garage. Use magnets to secure.

I have a fitted insulated cover for my Pit Boss. I leave it on until temps are about 40F.
