Just thought I'd stop in to say hello. :emoji_slight_smile:
Recently got interested in smoking various meats
First when I obtained sliced smoked turkey breast from a local grocery store.
Second when the following week I got some chicken legs and wings from the same store.
Ok- I'm hooked...
Been spending the last couple of weeks searching online and at the big box store for a smoker that floats my boat.
I also hope to do a bit of research at this forum.
Really like the way its set up and intend to do some drooling at the recipes section.

Welcome to SMF!

There's definitely a lot of information here! Enjoy your time and don't drool on your screen! HAHA!

welcome to smf, great place here. what type smoker ya looking at.

Welcome from Iowa! Glad you joined us! Just a fair warning... your "I need to make that" list has a tendency to grow rather large here! :emoji_blush:

Welcome from another South Carolinian. You'll enjoy this forum and can learn a bunch from the vast knowledge base here. Search, read, and ask questions....

Welcome aboard sir! Be very careful...just looking at pictures is a gateway into a addiction and passion that will be all consuming and detrimental to your wallet and waistline. And like most of us here you will love every cotton picking minute of it. Feel free to ask questions. For the most part we are a pretty friendly group of folks.

Wow.
Certainly a great and friendly group.
Thank you all for such a warm welcome.
Please be warned that I have been labeled a "foodie".
So, even if I find the smoker that will install on my deck, I'll still be annoying folks at the food sections. :emoji_laughing:
To answer your question Smokerjim, I've' pretty much been looking at the charcoal driven smokers.
$300 to $350 is my target range. Less is better. (Attachments you know)
Tubular variety have been kinda tugging at me.
March...
