Hi there, my name is Greg and I have been dabbling with smoke for a very little time.  I had a very inexpensive offset that drove me nuts, picked up a Weber kettle but use it mainly to grill.  A local sporting goods store had the Masterbuilt 30" electric on for $244 so I picked it up.......

Hoping to have more control with the electric however I have already noticed some negative reviews on the Masterbuilt controller.

Just seasoning the unit today..... first attempt at baby backs tomorrow!
