Not new to smoking, and certainly not new to cooking, just to the forum. I love cooking and learning how to make people happy one bite at a time ;)
I have a Weber stainless gas grill that is used 4-6 times a week and am on my second MasterForge Electric Smoker (MES) that I love smoking butts and brisket with. My favorite wood is apple pellets from Traeger brand, they provide just the right aroma and flavor with my special dry rub.
Side note, I grew up in Memphis and was on a competition team in the MIM event in 1987 and 1988. Kids are grown and I am ready to compete again!
