I am in need of a gasket for the brass burner assembly of my Great Outdoors propane smoker. It appears that the original was made of asbestos or some fibrous material. Original parts are no longer available. The gasket fits between the brass burner and the flange on the Venturi tube. It is very thin. Is there something I can use to substitute for the original? I assume it would have to withstand high heat? Thanks in advance for any help.

Maybe try an appliance repair place or a heating/cooling shop because they work with burners so they may have an equivalent part.

You can buy the gasket material in sheets to make your own . Like said above HVAC supply house or appliance store . You can order it from Amazon as well .
