I measured my mini and from the bottom grate to were the Umasa sits is 4 3/4 inch !!! Think of the amount of control this would allow. . The cast iron plate that comes with it could replace the terra cotta
Heat diffuser .. It is inexpensive now .. I think it's a great idea..
