I have a Grill Rescue that I use to clean my grill grates in my gas grill. Would that work for cleaning my new Pit Boss Pellet Smoker grates as well or would the water on the Flame Broiler be a bad idea? What do others use to clean the grates after they smoke and grill on a pellet smoker?

Post smoke, crank it as high as it goes (450-500) and leave it for 20min. Turn it off, grill brush after it cools down. I’ve never need to do much else though once or twice I’ve thrown them on the gas grill to really burn them off.

I use a small electric pressure washer, take them off hand on the fence and wash, back on the smoker and fire it up to dry off, while they are off clean the plate and ashes out.

When my smoker grates need attention, I put them on the gas grill that's set to high heat for approx 30 min. After that a quick couple swipes with a wire brush and they are good to go.
