Wife calls on her way home and asked it I want her to get a ham to smoke, last one was easter and we froze and finally finished last week.  then she say how about a fattie and abts. I told get the cream cheese and peppers as we have everything elso we need.  Oh and Sat she came home with some cheeses for me to smoke.

Thats cool my wife usually tells me what she wants but won't pick out the meat for smoking. She is pretty good about wanting stuff smoked tho

You wonder why I do the cooking around here. But she does like my cooking, smoking, or just buying some food to cook or smoke. But I like her too for something she does too. But right now I 'll have to learn how to smoke a salad with some oil and vinegar dressing. Does anyone have a recipe?????

 Mark, I take a whole Romain lettuce and cut it into quarters lengthwise, drizzle with evoo but you can use any oil-based dressing, kosher salt and crached pepper heavily and then toss on a hot grill for just a minute or so then flip for a minute (or cook to your liking of course). I then chop the lettuce on a board, season a bit more and serve..
