I hear ya . If you just go and look on a regular basis , you will find something . Goodwill in the " high rent district " is the place to look .I never have that luck at a thrift store
heck yeah buddyI have scored so many great bbq and cook books at Goodwill. I know you can find anything online but paging through them gives ideas. So many great recipes. Scored these two tonight for $1 each. View attachment 651357View attachment 651358View attachment 651358
I love it, it’s like a treasure hunt. Often I find nothing but every now and then a treasure. I have a nice All Clad pan I scored there last year. Some cast iron and Calphalon too. Books and games out the wazoo.Nice! I can't remember the last time I walked into a thrift store of any kind.
Our local one has a huge canning pot for $9 now. Think I might go grab it. I did see roasters from time to time.Nice score.
I search the GW for large roasters and such, no luck yet.
I have a 5 piece be fed set of the fluted Pyrex I got there for like $8! Use it constantlyI've been grabbing the Pyrex dishes if they have the lid . It always makes me smile when I walk in there with a purpose and go right to that section . Doesn't take long and I'm surrounded . Lol .
Oh yea! I’m always looking for those when treasure huntingI said Pyrex , but meant corningware . I bought a 1 1/2 quart dish with lid for 3 bucks . " Blue cornflower " pattern . I see it listed for 30 bucks all the way up to 1500 . Not sure what it sells for . Vintage 1959 I think .
I would like on them old fashion aluminum oval ones with a lid.Our local one has a huge canning pot for $9 now. Think I might go grab it. I did see roasters from time to time.
