Of course all us Okies are heartbroken over the loss to t-tech. That killed our chance at a national championship. Thank god Sam is just a freshman. SOONERS WILL BACK NEXT YEAR AND LOOK OUT NCAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Texas Tech has an extremely dangerous offensive attack. They have been kinda inconsistant this season, but they are a good team. BCS makes no sense to me. We could see a Championship game between Ohio State and Georgia. Georgia didnt even win their division ( dont get me wrong GA is a good team and very capable) Gotta make LSU feel real good, gonna win the SEC title and another team from SEC could end up playin for National Title.

Sooners better show up to play. Mizzou looked real hungry against Kansas last weekend.

Tech always seems to put up big points, problem is they give up a lot also. The BCS is stupid and they need to do something. Really need a play off system. I would love to see the Buckeyes get to the title game but W.V. is looking VERY GOOD!! And the last 2 times Ohio State played a team with a dual threat QB, they lost!

tech fired their d coordinator midway through the season. The d has been stepping it up as of late. Next year could be a big year for them. The O for Tech is very dangerous, but the D has always been suspect under Leach. I am a huge Tech fan and love it when they beat any of the old SWC teams :)

I lived in Tulsa for a year when I was a youngster, and I have maintained an affinity for my second "home state". Normally, I would pull for OU in this game, but it would be nice to see a school from outside of the normal powers get a shot at the championship. When in the FFA in high school, the good folks at Mizzou allowed one our competition teams to train on campus the week of the national finals in KCMO; so, I will be none too disappointed if Mizzou goes all of the way.

As for college football in general, I have degrees from three institutions with top football programs in their respective divisions. I have an associates from Georgia Military College, which is currently ranked #4 in the JUCO polls and won the championship in '01 with runners-up years in '02 and '05. I have a bachelors from Valdosta State (GA) University, which will host a D-II quarterfinal playoff game this coming Saturday. VSU won the championship in '04 and was the runner-up in '02. I have a masters from UGA, but I don't get too hot and bothered with them.

D-II has playoffs, and the playoffs are by far more fun than bowl games and a BCS. The game action is just as fun, and you don't get the drunken brawls and traffic jams of the "big time" football programs.

Ya know Smokey, your last few posts have me thinking that we had to have crossed paths at some point in time. I lived in Tulsa for a while, went to VSU for a year or so, been to the Lodge Outlet in Commerce several times...........heck even my associates is from the military also.

Just seemed like your posts have seemed to mention a lot of places that I have some experience with.

OUTSTANDING!! It's good to know that there is at least one more Blazer with Tulsa ties and an affinity for smoke and cast iron!!

Mizzou played 3 brilliant quarters against Kansas last weekend. But they almost gave it away in the 4th. In fact, I still maintain that Mizzou didn't win the game, Kansas lost it. Give us back one of the red zone interceptions and one missed field goal and we would be playing OU.

However, all that is water under the bridge. Can't wait for next year. Big 12 will be absolutely stacked with Texas, OU, KU, Mizzou, and Texas Tech. Tough conference.

I will root for the Sooners since I have a cousin going to school in Tulsa at OU. Yes, I know that OU is in Norman, but apparently there is a satellite in Tulsa. Don't get used to it though Sooner nation! I would cheer on the Taliban against Mizzou!

Whatever happens, it won't change the fact that Kansas University lost to Missouri University.
Also won't change the fact it is just the junior NFL. Who ever can afford to buy the best players.

I do believe that there is a "university center" or something along those lines that hosts classes from OU, OSU, and some of the other OK public colleges/universities in Tulsa.

All the people who know basketball is a game where football is a sport (as is hockey). Basketball, IMO is a waste of TV timeslots that could much better be used showing more hockey, as is baseball.
