All,

I am wanting to smoke both chicken and pork this weekend. I would like to do 2 beer can chickens which are recommended to smoke at 325* and either pork tenderloin or pork loin. Some recipies call for high heat on those and others call for low heat.

What is the best combo for my single Green Mountain Grill smoker?

You can cook chickens at a lower temp, you're just gonna sacrifice the skin texture. However you can always cook them at a lower temp and then crisp the skin up on a rippin grill or under the broiler.

I prefer loin to be cooked at a lower temp...well lower than 325. The reason is, is because it's generally pretty lean. Also, loin in my opinion is best when it's cooked to 145 and rested. Still a little pink, but damn juicy and flavorful.
