Hey folks,
Ordering a GMG Ledge today (not the 2.0) to upgrade from my Dyna-Glo offset. I wasn't looking to do this based on high prices for decent pellet smokers but could not pass up my luck.
Was at a Blues and Jazz festival last weekend and seen this beauty original price (Canadian) $1699 on sale for $899. I still though nah that's a bit much. Well there was a contest to post a photo of an item from any shop on FB and you could win $200 towards the item you posted.. well low and behold I won the contest.

$699 for the smoker and then my son said.. he'd cover the rest for Fathers Day.

Let's just say I am very excited to level up.

Anyone else have one of these.. any advice/pointers?

I have heard of some folks with power, circuit board and auger issues. I'm going to assume proper use and maintenance would help prevent most of the issues folks have. LEDGE-PRIME-1-1__43832.jpg

Nice ! I have a different brand , but really like the pellet grill platform .

Follow the startup and shutdown directions . Learn what it likes , or doesn't like .
Take care of it and I bet you don't have any major issues .
Enjoy .

Ditto chopsaw chopsaw
And seems every brand has its gremlins with its app &/or PID controller, so don’t be surprised if one pops up.

Get it seasoned and away you go! Had mine for two or three years and no issues... you'll love it!

Congrats. I wouldn't worry too much about issues, seems everything has its quirks. The pellet grill I have isn't overly fancy and seems like I always have something to fix and I have taken care of it pretty well by most peoples standards such as being brought inside a lot when not in use. In contrast a buddy of mine has used the heck out of his and has had some component replacement but nothing like me, his is a couple months older and sits outside full time.
