Hi all,

There my brother in-law was, pondering over the christmas gift I gave him. It was had a pretty bow, colorful red wrapping paper. Strangly it was heavy, maybe 9lbs and cold to boot! He was thinking... who gives a cold gift.

With a few swift moves the paper was unfurled. Low and behold a beautiful cut of pork butt sat before him. His wheels turning, he thought, 'a nice gift?'.. After a few moments of letting him ponder I let him off the hook and pointed out the rest of his gift was around the corner

. A giant red gift sat waiting. He tore though the paper and found a brand new GOSM with all the trimmings, sauce bottle, spray bottle, tongs, rub, digital thermometer, hickory chunks and best of all, a printout. All the information needed to make the best pulled pork from the wonderful people at SMF forum.

We had a blast over the next two days, as I told him all I knew about smoking pulled pork. He followed each step exactly. Withing 30 hours of opening the strange cold gift, he had in his hands some of the best pulled pork he had ever had... and he made it himself

!

I know I've thanked everyone here several times, but now I need to pass along his thanks. I now have passed the smoking bug to a new generation and I could not have done it without you guys.

Haha, thanks for the kudos! It was a great moment.
I will admit, there is a tiny bit of selfishness involved. Now I expect more pulled pork at our family functions

Fred, you won't find many b-i-l's like that.

Thats a great gift and a great way of sharing your knowledge of smoking. Hope to see your brother in law joining the site.
