I figured I may as well try to figure out how to start a thread on the new forum and post some pictures as well.

On this day in America it is a day to give thanks and to honor all of the men and women who have given the ultimate sacrifice for us so that we can enjoy our freedom.   It is kind of mind boggling to think about how things might be today if they had not fought for use yesterday.

Additionally I would like to thank Jeff and all of the members of this site.   I have learned so much and enjoy reading about new ways to prepare so many different styles of food.

Here is a list of folks stuff that I am using in one way or another on some of my stuff today:

Chisoxjim         Buttermilk brine

Travcoman45    Poultry Brine

ShooterRick     Rub

RonP               Yoshida's  Pork Loin in netting

Two yard birds in Brine, Two pork loins,  one bacon wrapped with spinach asparagus, green peppers, the other marinated in Yoshidas.   I will prep 2 slabs of ribs in the morning, one with Ricks and the other with a molasses based sauce.   I also have a small beef roast that I got at a buy one get one deal at Jewel.  Tried to make steaks out of them, but they turned out terrible so In the smoker it will go.

My not so good weave, next time I will buy better bacon.

Forgot to take a picture of the loin, put some extra strips of bacon on top of the spinach and Gorgonzola cheese, the asparagus and peppers are on the sides.

All wrapped up ready for the smoker.

Looks like a great start.  We, too, will be remembering those who gave a full measure tomorrow.  God bless them, and may they rest in peace!

Everything is going well, kind of tough balancing temps / time for ribs, pork loin and 2 yard birds , but it looks like it will work out pretty good.   Cruised right through the danger zone with the birds, moved my ribs to a shelf lower to make sure the loins could play catch up on the top rack.

Weather in Chicago turned bad (go figure) had a couple of downpours so I needed to move the works into the garage.

It's sounds like everythig is going well for you well besides the weather but we cann't controll that. You food sounds like you have a bunch of that for sure. I also hope you will post the finished products too.

Well it all turned out great, I will post some qview in stages so I don't overpower downloading for some folks

Here are the yard birds out of the brine and in netting,   That is the first time I did that had to figure out a few tricks on my own but it worked out real well.

Cooking three different types of meat was a bit of a challenge, next time I will put the birds in before the ribs but everything still finished up with in and hour or so of each other.

I cant seem how to post the pictures in the order that I want them, so the first one is a pic of the loins on the top shelf, the ribs in the foil stage and the birds hanging below.

I need to go to the test section and figure out how to post in order

Everything turned out great, I think the birds could have had more zing for my taste, the ribs were real good, used Molasses and brown sugar on one and Ricks rub on the other.

But the Loins were the absolute best!     Bacon wrapped pork loin with fresh spinach leafs, asparagus, green peppers, and Gorgonzola cheese,

The one marinated in the Yoshidas sweet and sour gave the loin a great taste as well.

Yea I thought uploading straight from the computer would be nice instead of using photobucket, but now I am not so sure.

I saw some where that looked like you could resize.

Uploading from your computer is easy.  Just select one pic at a time if you want them in a certain order so that you can narrate your images.  Or select a couple of them & then place the cursor where you want to add text.  Go over to the test area & try it out.

I will try in the test area tomorrow

After uploading the first picture, I was unable to move the cursor to the bottom of the picture to add any text for the second picture.

I may try it on a different computer as well.   This is a pic of my laptop sitting in my next smoker box project on Sunday during the rainstorm

Thanks

Thanks to all of you folks who have inspired me over the past year.

Looks like it turned out really good. Is that your first time using the netting?
