Gifted 5# of Halibut - Let's Hear Your Recipe

thirdeye I have to ask. Did you smoke any of that halibut? Thoughts? I've never had halibut, but I've read that it's similar to flounder, which is very delicate and maybe unsuitable for smoking.

I love your smoked salmon recipe and so does my 6 year old granddaughter, so I try to make it for her when she spends the night. But I'm looking for other options to smoke.

I tried smoking some many years ago, and yes the low fat content didn't work as well as trout or salmon.

That said, smoked tuna is pretty tasty and I used my dry cure method on it. This is Ahi tuna.
