Getting Rid Of Rust

Hi All -

I'm looking at a used horizon smoker.  Overall, its in good shape but the outside of the firebox is rusted all the way around.  What is a person to do about this?

Hello.  That is often the case.  A grinder with a wire cup brush is the best option.  They do make paint on products that "kill" rust but I don't think I want that around my food.  After severe wire brushing you may find you need to replace some metal.  Good luck.  Keep Smokin!
