i am in the market for a pellet smoker and I don't know which one either a Pit Boss, Camp Chef or a Z-Grill. I am selling a couple of things on ebay to fund my purchase so I don't get any opposition form my wife.I sold a gold chain and have A Nikon mount macro lens on ebay right now. I should have a total of about $500 in cash after I sell the lens. So that is my budget.

Several choices, you will want to look at a few in person to see how big you want to go,then any xtra's like Wi-Fi ect,My budget was $500 the 1 I wanted was $1000 or so,I'm very happy with my Pit Boss ,they now come with a 5 year warranty, only 1 year when I bought mine. good luck as there are a lot of choices out there

I am thinking a pit boss 700fb owuld be great for me or an 820 deluxe. I would like one big enough that I could get enough food on so that I could host a church benefit bbq.

I think I have 1008 sq" ,lowes has 1 like mine that has a bigger pellet bin and a front shelf,2 temp probes for about $550 ,not sure how much I could put on it but a pile, bought the son a copperhead #5 for Christmas and it will hold a lot also for less than $500 ,like I said several choices out there

I bought a Pit Boss Austin XL but while I have it put together I've yet to season it or cook anything in it hopefully soon

I love My PB 700FB, No issues at all with it... Only thing I would say is I wish it had a shelf either off to the right side or possibly in front. I get around that by setting up a small table for my cooks. Just food for thought.

I was looking for one for a while now. I stopped at Sam's club today and they had one clearanced for $199.91. I couldn't pass it up. It is made by trail embers and has good reviews. Home depot sells it for $455.00. You can buy it online at sams also but it is only down to $239, still a good buy. I will put it together next weekend. The reviews say it is heavier gage steel than a teenager. I can't believe the price I got today.

I bought the pitboss series 5, I hated it at first. I bought new treager pellets and when set at 225 degrees the smoker would swing from 165-390 degrees. I set the temp at 250 and it got so hot inside that it made the unit turn off. the high setting goes over 400 degrees so I am not sure how hot it actually got before shutting off. changed the pellets to pitboss brand and it works great. super good smoke flavor and a ton of room, No complaints when using the pitboss pellets, and that is a good thing as they are by far less expensive then treager pellets. I got the smoker on clearance at Walmart for $109.00 so I could not pass up the deal. I like this pitboss a lot better then the treager I have, (texas model)
