Getting more smoke from a pellet smoker

I have a Treager Lil Tex and have tried to no end to get more smoke flavor. I bought the Amazing smoker still not enough smoke. Then I had an idea , I took 2 Bradley Pucks and crumbled them up to about pellet size and also got some dust as well, Mixed it with 100 % same flavor pellets. Empty the hopper and place in the auger feeding hole ,Then put pellets on top of mixture . Now I get just the right amount of smoke flavor . Give it a try .
