Super excited!!! Talked to me piggy guy today... Picking up a fresh slaughtered, still warm, 15-ish lb butt tomorrow!!!

Bless him, he was sick as a dog and had sent the "boys" to the auction house... Said if they didnt pick up some little guys (I pulled up last Friday just as they were finishing gutting a 1500-1750lb hog) that he'd carve me off a nice hunka' roast (fine by me, can't eat a bone anyway!) -- stay tuned! I'll be posting pretty piggy photos tomorrow around 6!!!

Thanks Bill!! I won't tell you how disappointed I was Tuesday afternoon thinking it was Wednesday and I'd be making that call the next day!! I gotta get out of the office more!!!

Ended up taking most of the opposite shoulder of this sweet piggie- 25lbs after it had dude slicing off skin, fat, etc...

It did! I knew you were joking ;)

No, it's in three pieces. He presented me with the whole shoulder and asked what I wanted, so I picked out a hunk in the middle but the other two pieces looked so good I just took it all!

I'm obviously a little late thus morning, but I'm not doing to stress over it. We have temps going into the mid-60's today, so temp won't be an issue as it has in the past.

i trimmed it up a bit more last night, then coated in a mixture of dark brown sugar, Cowtown's Sweet Heat and kosher salt.  Getting ready to set up the smoker and get it on!!!!

I'll post a few pre-q views shortly!!!!
