Hi all - my gas grill has died a slow death and I need to replace it. I live in the midwest and want to be able to grill with the gas grill as the temp gets down in the 40's. We generally grill either with gas or charcoal 3-5 times a week spring to fall. I'm between the Weber Genesis II 610 or a Beefeater Signature S3000S. I haven't seen a lot of reviews on the Beefeater but it sounds like it is a solid brand/grill. My budget is 2k or less. Any help is appreciated. On a side note, I was about to put in an order for a yoder 640 before the gas grill went belly up.

Why not go with the Yoder if that's what you want? I have a buddy here that has one and he grills year round. Temps here get into the teens and he has no issues.

I use my charcoal Weber smokers and grills all winter long too in the same temps no issues.

I've thought about doing that. I worry about the ability to sear and do what I want. I know you can move the heat deflector on the yoder but usually when I'm grilling I'm grilling for at least 4 and need to get it done within 30 minutes. I just dont feel like the yoder is the way to go at this time.

I, among all my toys, have a Weber Summit 6-Burner gasser. I would not trade it for the world, precision oven that I can make do back flips. The new Weber series gills; however, are getting some bad raps. Mainly has to do with the new style burners not performing well. You might want to check around on the reviews here. Otherwise Weber is rock solid.

Having said that, I agree with others that having a Yoder pellet (good machine) or a charcoal smoker like a Weber WSM should do you fine unless there just a blizzard outside. Just my 2 cents worth.

Thanks guys. I think the yoder is a good machine just not sure for what I need is the right choice although it's very very tempting to go that route. I'll check out the reviews on the new webers. Anyone have any opinions on the beefeaters?thats where I am having trouble finding any info.

Also I do have my charcoal grill and smoker for the long cooks if needed.

That new Weber Summit sure looks like a great grill.
I've had a Genesis for years & it still hits over 700 degrees.
