I've tried Jeff's Bacon Butter recipe from his recent newsletter twice now. First with chicken, and then with turkey. It all starts with a fresh batch of Jeff's rub--which I'm glad to have the recipe for. I made chicken quarters for my brother's birthday party, and it was only a couple of days later that I was making more bacon butter to try with a turkey breast. This stuff is great, everyone who takes a bite says so.

That does it, after seeing that turkey, I am definitely trying that recipe.  Turkey looks great, good job!!

I have heard a lot about this bacon butter.  I am smoking 2 turkeys this year for Thanksgiving.  I just might have to give this bacon butter a go.  That bird looks awesome!

This is already on my agenda to do this weekend. I have it printed up and ready to go.

I used the bacon butter on a turkey just last weekend for a family dinner. They picked that bird to the bone! Guess who is now stuck with the job of turkey cooker for next year?

That makes me think. I wonder if putting bacon grease in a brine would add even more bacon flavor or if the coldness would make it congeal.
Either way, you just made up my mind to use the bacon butter on Thanksgiving. Great post, thanks!
