Incredible Al awesome looking steak I have put butter on my steaks for years surly adds to the flavor.

Now that's a GOOD looking steak Al. I never thought about cooking one from frozen, but from your results it sure looks like the way to do it.
BTW, I think you're having way to much fun with your new toy. LOL

Unless I buy a steak that is fresh, which I rarely do.
I usually buy in bulk & freeze them.
I will always cook them frozen from now on.
And yes, the new toy is a lot of fun!
