What recipe did you see it in ???    I use AmesPhos in sausage/stick making at times...  Dave

FOS B Meat Seasoning
A blend of phosphates designed to assist in reducing the risk of plugged injection needles with scale, in hard water areas. FOS B is a blend of sodium phosphates for traditional bone-in or boneless hams. This blend of phosphates is more soluble that sodium tripolyphosphate alone, which also makes it more effective in sausage applications.

I got a snak stix mix and it says on the package if smoking you need to add prague#1 and Fos B. I have made plenty of smoked snak stix and always use cure#1 but have never seen Fos B called for. Never heard of it.
