I keep forgetting how good I have it here in WI. I just can't have it delivered to me. Distributors won't let that change.
We can have Uber shopping and Door dash deliver us booze as well.
That started during covid, they made it legal for restaurants to sell off premise booze, beer, and wine as well.

I've never used them, the lady next door never goes shopping, at all, she has everything delivered to her front door... seems weird to me still.

Out here, grocery stores, Costco, Sam's, about every small mom & pop corner type store even some gas stations sell booze, wine, and beer. On my vacation I went to Safeway in DC to buy a bottle of bourbon. When I asked the lady working there where they kept the booze, she looked at me like I was from another planet. Then she said they can't sell it, I asked her where I needed to go to by a bottle, she pulled up the closest liquor store on my phone for me.
I thought that was really weird.
GET THIS!?
My Dad was telling me that in Delaware, they have state store for liquor.
He said can buy it there Cheaper than he can buy wholesale !?
WHY ? TAXES !
I can say more!?, But I will leave it @ that !

-In Louisiana they have stand alone daiquiri stands with drive thru windows and they have liquor on display behind the counter that you can buy in C-Stores.

-In Mississippi there are drive thru liquor stores. I.E. drive your car in one end of the store, point out what you want, drive a little further and point again, etc. Then pay and leave thru the other end of the store.

-In one of the KC, KS suburbs I went into a liquor store that had three sections divided by doors. The center section was the check out area. The section on the right was liquor and the section on the left was beer. They said it had to be separated to be legal.

-In Mississippi I went into a liquor store to buy beer. None to be found. The attendant said I had to go to a grocery or C-store.

-One weekend in Arkansas I decided to stop and eat at a cafe I'd heard about on my way home. Thought it was odd there was only 1 car in front of the place. Got inside and it had turned into a liquor store. Thing is it was Sunday. The only liquor store I know of open on Sunday in Arkansas. Either legal in that county or township apparently. Thought it was illegal statewide.

-Another thing in AR. With modern licenses you can't prepare and serve food in a liquor store. Old, "grandfathered" licenses don't have much of any of that sort of restriction. Last I knew there was a place South of Pine Bluff that was a burger joint and liquor store. There used to be a sporting goods store and liquor store in Hot Springs. There is a liquor store in SW AR on one side of a parking lot and a C-Store on the other side. Both owned by the same guy. C-store sells beer and food.

-Was in Texas on vacation years ago. Went thru the Spoetzl Brewery Shiner. Sampled 5 or 6 of their brews after the tour. They only a swig or two of each. (Old friend said they used to pour as many as you wanted years ago!) Asked them why I could only find Shiner Bock locally and they told us all the hoops and costs involved in getting each brew certified in most states. Said it just wasn't worth the effort to do so due to the volumes they would likely sell there. Thus only Shiner Bock near home.

All the oddities I can remember for now.

We used to have family in MS/TN area. They have real weird laws. Like the liquor stores cant sell cork screws or bottle openers. But the gas station in the same parking lot has a bucket of them for $1/each.
