What is the highest temp you can hold in your pit? This is for us owners of the inexpensive
Brinkman char griller charbroil pits
You guys with the yoders horizons and langs need not answer we know how well they hold temps

After all of the mods i did to the smoker i can get the smoker to 400-450 and keep it there for 3-4 hours .

i have the walmart charbroil offset smoker , it took alot of mods to get it to smoke the way i wanted it to work , i talked to Rivet on this forum and you can also search for offset smoker mods to see pics of what others have done.

after all the mods i can keep the smoker at 200-230 for around three hours before i have to add more wood or charcoal , after all the mods i really like my offset and i and the family think the food especially the brisket , tastes alot better.

Yes i did ! but i dont smoke at that high of a temp , then its called GRILLING.

i do  the 400 temp to season it after it sits for the winter and to make sure there is no bugs or anything growing in there since it does sit outside.
