True. Just do the best you can. They don't have to be hospital-clean to work. Or go wireless. Love my Thermo Pro Temp Spike.One of my biggest problems is CLEANING my probes. Not the probe shafts themselves, being stainless those can be scrubbed pretty hard to clean, but the wires themselves... braided metal just does NOT get the grease and soot out, no matter how much I seem to soak or scrub them with scrubby pads. <sigh>

Hmmm.... my competition probes wouldn't lock into those clips, but I wonder if the spring portion of them would. Do you have any of the thin competition probes to try out?Just arrived. Seems like a great way to keep everything handy and neater than tossed in a drawer. Silicone with strong magnets.

Do they work if the meat is NOT on the grill ?I have had the Thermoworks ones for a few years now. They are great even though I am using them with Inkbird wires.
