My favorite football team The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have made it to the Grey Cup next weekend which is the Canadian Football League version of the Superbowl.

I have decided to host the game and am looking for some ideas for food!!!  I was thinking about doing a chuckie and of course some ABT's but I was looking for maybe a few other tried and true recipes from some of the guys or girls out there?????  This being the biggest game of the year I really want some awesome food for everyone to enjoy!!!!

Thanks

Brian

How about meatballs stuffed with Blue Cheese, wrapped with bacon -- I'd call them "Blue Bombers" for the party.

Who knows, maybe someday I'll have to figure out how to make something with "Browns" in the title.....wishful thinking!

Hope your team wins!

Everybody loves fatties. I like to slice them & put the slice on a slider bun. Can't beat it for football snacks!

Anyone who never had a smoked burger has no idea how good they are---Your guests would go nuts!!

Best of luck to your Blue Bombers!!!

Hmmm....another great idea.  I have never tried smoked burgers before either!  What temp you smoke em  and how long?

Thanks for the idea and for the good luck for my team.  Can't wait for the game sunday.  Everyone already callin to ask what I am cooking HAHAHAHAHA

Chicken Wings!  You can smoke them before hand and toss in hot grease to warm/crisp them up.  Serve 3 different types of sauce,  Mild, Hot and Get the Milk.  Always gives people something to razz each other about.  You can do the same thing with chicken tenders, cut up chicken breasts.

How about doing some pulled pork, shredding it and making meat pies.  You can refrigerate/freeze them and then throw them in the oven as need.

For ballgames I like to precook as much as possible so I can watch the game.

Good Luck to both you and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers

I like the "Blue Bombers" idea, sounds good and great for the theme.

For football games I always do wings, potato skins, and sausage since they are easy to do and I usually just snack anyway (gotta save room for beer

).

Good luck to your team!

Abt's are always a hit around here. As an homage to the team, you could use 3 blueberries inside with the cream cheese as opposed to sausage. The sweet/savory juxtaposition would be great. You could also smoke up a bunch of home made sausage, cut it into 1" pieces and serve it with toothpicks and homemade mustard. Smoked pork loin sliced thin and served with home made yeast rolls as "slider buns" and more of the home made mustard would work. PP sliders on the same rolls too. You could also do PP nachos on blue corn tortilla chips, to incorporate the "blue" theme. If it was me, I'd mix up a cooler of strong blue margaritas, it's fun to have a central theme drink. Unless of course, everyone's unconscious midway through the first quarter. Maybe Labatt's Blue might be a better idea.

Good luck to your team and enjoy the party!
