I still have a flat lid and use the 2 inch bung for the exhaust, Recently put a 2x2 pipe nipple in the bung and have a cap to to close it off. main reason was that I could seal the threaded area in the bung, but raise the exhaust just enough that if it rained and the lid started to fill with water, it wouldnt run into the drum. read lots of problems with condensation dripping due to long exhaust stack so I kept it short. Anything else I could try that may work to keep water out while cooking ?h
