Leaving tomorrow afternoon, heading south to Stockton, MO to pick up my boat, then on south to my fishing partner's place. Spend the night there, get up early and head on south to Table Rock Lake to pre-fish for the Missouri Water Patrol's "Cops for Kids" bass tournament benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation. 250 boat tourney. Full moon and bass are spawning, could get interesting! Bass Pro Shops donates a new rigged Nitro bass boat with 150 Merc. as a drawing prize, along with a bunch of other sponsors.
We will stay at his cabin on Table Rock. Huge screened porch overlooking a cove across the lake from Indian Point.
So, I thought some smoked treats would fit into the plan nicely. Smoked 3 chubs of bologna (baloney where I come from), 4 fattys, 2 sage, 1 reg., 1 hot. Also smoked a chunk of cheddar cheese and a wedge of gouda. I will also boil 2 lbs. of peel & eat shrimp. That oughta hold us!
Here is a little porn -
The avacado green cast aluminum kettle grill is older than my ECB. It is a BuddyL I bought while a friend and I shared an apartment after we both got out of the Navy. Still grills a fine steak or burger.

Oh yeah! I coated the balogna with worcestershire sauce and a heavy layer of rub. I also put a bit of rub on the reg. fatty. Smoked everything at 225 deg. using hickory and apple, sure makes fine smoke! Ambient temp. was 75 deg. with light wind, a super day to smoke.
It finally stopped raining yesterday. Had 1 3/4" in my gauge.

Don't know about the smoked bologna, but the fishin' sounds great.
My mixer truck has a huge Make-a-Wish logo on the drum. The company that I work for puts logos for non-profit organizations on the drums. I'll probably be somewhere near Tablerock lake pouring concrete on Monday.

We'll be ON Table Rock Monday in either James River or Kings River looking for some bedding fish. This tournament is great. Benefits a really good cause and everyone has a great time, plus could win some serious bucks.
Try smoking some bologna, it will surprise you. Eats great with smoked cheese on crackers and "something cool to drink". Only need to smoke it about 2 hours since you are just adding smoke flavor. Best hot off the smoker.
I prefer Fricks (rhymes with "likes") bologna, they have small chubs. No chicken in it.

Have fun Mike. With those eats I wouldn't mind if the fish didn't bite. More time to pig out.

Good Luck at the fishing...was at Happy Hollow, which is straight across the lake west of Big Cedar, last week...was surprised how green the water was...the bottom was only visible down to near 6'...the bite was slow and all the bass and crappie we took were in the sticks in about 12-20' of water...we were there too quick after the cold snap but when you have reservations about 4 months ahead its pot luck!

Hope you win the Nitro

We have had a lot of rain this spring. The last few years have been so dry, the springs and rivers never flushed into the lakes. Now they're flushing pretty good. That's probably why the lake is a bit murky, especially on that side.
