No tacos or tortillas on this meal. But the fish(walleye) and the sauce have a texmex touch (salsa on the fish, salsa+yoghurt+cumin for the sauce). Toasted quinoa as side.

Wow, that's a pretty plate of food! Gettin' all fancy pants. [IMG]  I've never had walleye. What is comparable? Fish tacos sounds really good though. Lovely picture my friend.

I do fish taco's using rock cod.  Never tried walleye.   Hmmmmm.
  4. Walleye has to be one of the best eating fish that swims.

Rock cod is awfully good too!

It took me years to really acquire a love of salmon, catching it myself has helped.

    You meal looks good atomicsmoke!

    Thank you!

I agree about walleye. Being a mild tasting fish is also a great "vehicle" for various flavours you might wanna use. Much like halibut in that sense.

Bad news is I only have one pack left in the freezer. Lake Erie walleye season can't come soon enough.

Walleye looks good, never tried it like that.
This weeks tailgate in Munilot is a Lake Erie walleye and perch fry (last Browns home game). Along with some polish sausage, I'll prep Friday and stuff n smoke Saturday.
Rock cod have never had it, will look into that one for tacos. Ono and mahi mahi are used around here.
Good fish tacos are hard to find in Ohio, not like the left coast...
