Hey All,

42 year old, but only an infant smoker. I have smoked just about every type of meat that I will eat since Christmas, still have a brisket to go. My FIL bought me a Masterbuilt electric smoker with the window. I'm currently smoking some boneless ribs and found this site while looking for a good baked potato recipe.

I can see that smoking meats should've been a part of my life much earlier, but it is what it is. My buddies compete in "Smokin' in the Junction" every year. It's located in Valley Junction, part of the greater Des Moines metroplex.

I'm a huge Cyclone fan, and would like to enhance my tailgating experience when I figure out what I can do spectacularly. My best thing I cook so far is chicken and/or cheese. I'm always trying to figure out the best combo for my family. My wife likes salty, I like sweet. So it's tough to make both of us happy.

Can't wait to get involved more with this forum!
