So my wife is anti pork chops, actually pretty much anti pork anything that isn’t pulled pork or bacon. So I’m trying a tenderloin for her to see how she likes it. I believe she has really never had any good pork chops or what not. I plan on keeping it simple, using my secret rub that is famous (ok its Jeff’s rub) but I also got some Kiawe wood from the hardware store here in using. Planning on 225* or as close to as I can in my Webber. Until 145* it and letting it rest for about 30 min. Was gonna do 140* then rest but don’t want her to see any pink inside. I’ll post pics as I go. Wish me luck.

Here they are seasoned and on the grill

Off to a good start, watching.

Mmmm, tenderloins are good stuff.
Surprisingly, I've never cooker a pork tenderloin, just other people's.

My pork belly recipes are horrible, don't give them to your picky wife.
Sacrifice yourself and eat them for her.

Looks good. You can also grill the tenderloins like a steak without the rub. Just a little Tony's creole seasoning and a dusting of Cavender's Greek seasoning. The last 10 minutes baste with your favorite glaze. Been grilling them this way for 30 years. Simple cook and oh so good.

Tell me more about this Kiawe wood. Googled and says like mesquite but sweeter. I’m intrigued. I see it can be ordered online.
