First smoking request

I got my first real smoking request today. A friend of mine called me up today to tell me he was having some family over for his daughters birthday on Sunday. He asked me if I could smoke some ribs up for them.

I was tickled pink, flattered as all getout.

Since the event is early in the day, I'm having people over on Sat night, and my parents are in visiting this weekend we compromised that I would throw an extra butt on the smoker for him.

I'm already planning a Friday afternoon/evening smoke to make pulled pork. So instead of ribs he's getting pp. He's still happy.

Best compliment I could get.

It certainly is a rush.

I had already been contemplating putting together a business plan and getting rates together over the winter and putting together a catering business. This is pushing me even closer to doing so.
