I had been talking about making a small smoker with my wife for about 10 years know. Well I got the go ahead to do so. What a exciting day, I bought a 250 gallon propane tank in June of 2012 for 50.00 bucks. When I drove a little over an hour away I was there to pick it up. Well I can tell you a 250 gallon tanks is a lot bigger in person than you would think. I brought it home and all I herd when I got it home is this thing stinks. that night I put soap and water into it to kill some of the smell. As long as I kept it filled it was ok. It set till September till I Finally started cutting on it. Let me tell you that was very nerve racking till I had a notch cut out. Than I new it would not catch on fire or blow up. After all the research on line and talking to a few of my Uncles I had decided to make a reverse flow. The lids are down 6" from the top to hold the heat and smoke in. There are four rack in it to hold meat and a 6" stack on it. The fire box is a 30X30X26 I think it may be a little to big, but I can work with it till I figure it out. I did my first burn on it for 14 hours it held temp at 275 it is of course hotter closer by the fire box. But in reality that is ok sense sometimes you want to sear some meats to hold in the natural juices. So after all the hard work and some help from a friend of the family to weld it together I show you almost completed
PUFF as my children have named it.
