Nebraska - Go Big Red!
I threw some ribs on the my new PittBoss Pellet smoker for the first time today. I ran it at 230 and had them on there for about four and a half hours. I rubbed them with a rub I got at a spice shop in KC awhile back. It was really tasty but sadly it was the last of it. They came out really good and the pellet smoker gave me the simple day I was looking for. I am excited to make more ribs on it while playing with some different rubs, timing and temps. Here are some pics to prove it happened. 😁

Looks good. Did you find that you got enough smoke flavor? And what pellets did you use?
I felt like it had a good smoke flavor. I had picked up a bag of PitBoss Competition Blend pellets when I bought the PitBoss. They worked pretty well. I plan to look around town and see what else I can find for pellets based on some suggestions I have seen here

Ribs look good.
I'm looking forward to some meat on the pooper when I get home.

How was the Pirate Water Margarita?
The Pirate Water was so so. I will stick with my Caymen Jacks for canned Margaritas.
Looks good . What was the name of the rub ?
Next time you do ribs , try the upper rack .
It was just a spice blend made up at a spice market in the KC farmers market. I don't think it is there any more. What do I get out of the upper rack?
Going for a Memphis style rib?
I am a dry rub not a sauce fan. :)

What do I get out of the upper rack?
I like to start some of that stuff up higher , farther from the heat . Maybe a bit more in the smoke . Mine exhausts out the back of the body . No stack .
I start like this .

After a bit I'll start rotating them top to bottom . Then bottom to top .

Then I'll get them sauced and run on the bottom .

The SmokeFires are an open design . Like a Weber gas grill with the flavor bars .
So there's a fair amount of heat coming through there .
Might not be the same with other brands .
