Got myself a new Broil King Smoker! Super stoked, going to try a brisket this weekend, any tips or tricks anyone can give me before I get started?

Thank You!

I believe there are more tips and tricks for brisket than sands of the sea.....LOL. But here it goes. I would recommend you try either recipe in Jeff Phillips book I have used both and they are very good.

The other thing I would suggest is to start out with a Point Cut vs the full deal or just the Flat. That way you get more even smoking and its not as intense.....Good luck!

Will definitely post some pics of the aftermath, I was planning on setting the temp around 200 and smoking for 10-11 hours. I am hoping that is ample enough time to get it just right

Decided to try a chuck roast first to see how well I could manage. Need a few more tweaks with a marinade, and should be good to go. (I didn’t marinate this time, as was advised not to, and I think it was the wrong move)
