Awesome advice kam! Thats gonna be the plan. Did the burn in and season tonight and shes rolling like a boss! Got temps dialed in even with a 2" deep waterbath over the baffle. Pretty happy even with the leaky door. So once thats fixed were gold!
Dave you can really tell with those small top holes how well the heat moves and clears the fire box. What an awesome upgrade!!!! I cant thank you guys enough
Mel....  Glad that mod worked well for you...  Looks good...   Great install...     It's the members here, that were kind enough to experiment with "adjustments" and believe the information everyone was passing on, was in good faith...   Some really awesome smokers have been built by members here, that were willing to deviate from the norm and try and build a better smoker...    WoodyG is a good example...   He used the information in the build tutorial to build his reverse flow smoker...   Although he's in Minnesota, he uses his RF smoker to cold smoke cheese...   Not many builders can say "Use my smoker to cold smoke cheese "....    Now that's fire control....

Anywho, enjoy your smoker...  You need any other questions answered, I'm here...  Anytime...    Dave
