So thanks to this site and a few other links....last October I found a drum and started my UDS build....then had to put it on hold over the winter, due to time and nowhere to burn/work on it.  Thanks to the  warm spring, I was able to get out and finally finish it up.  so far I have don ribs, an pork butt, then found out  that the thermometer that I was using to guage the barrel temp was about 40 degrees low.  So after that kicked it up a little and smoked some chicken wings.  I didn't them (I don't think I am a fan of smoked poultry) my wife and buddy loved them.  I can't wait to redo the pork butt now with the right temps......

I will try to get some inside pics later....although it is nothing you haven't seen before.   the flames came out pretty well, not as well as I would have liked, but hey it is a UDS right?  but big thanks to blockposters.com for help on them, I found the image on google, then imported it to block posters to get the template.  I really wanted to add a few more colors to the flames and maybe some lettering, but I really wanted to get smoking on it too, my belly won that battle!!!!!

no primer I used VHT caliper paint it is good up to 1200 deg.  or somethign like that.  found at autozone.  It is a UDS and I was in a hurry so no primer just a heavy coat of spray.
