Hey all, Specially Dutch,
Coming around to the holiday season again and here at work everyone is asking if I'm bringing another "redneck treat tray" I just didn't realize what a hit it was but sadly as I am moving across town just after Turkey day I prolly won't have the time. This however got me to thinkin of my friends on SMF that I have snubbed for months now. Sorry and Happy Hollidays. I'll be around as I hope to do a little small scale smoking here in a bit, but sadly my marksmanship was off this year and I wiffed three really nice bucks so I just don't have the game meat. Egads though it would be far cheaper to smoke some domestics as venison is running me somewhere in the neighborhood of $70 per pound averaged over the years!!!! *LOL*

Again Hi Ya'll

Hey LS, don't feel bad, no deer here either, all we see are does.

And your right on the price per #, it would be cheaper to buy beef.

But not as enjoyable.

THanks BigArm, it would be easier to take if I hadn't seen so many. Just not waiting for the right shot and taking a bad shot is hard to swallow though. Cajun: good to hear from ya, looks like I get to be a troll for a while!! Oh well.

Hey Long, glad you still know where to find us. To bad about the hunting season-just think if nobody else get them this year, they ought to be really nice next year!!

You got to be kidding me Terry, your in Montana! My buddy in Orient Oregon just 14 miles from PDX bugled a bull elk right into his back yard and dropped him with a bow! The bull didn't even run, just sat down and died right there, Kevin was able to reach it with a come-along and hoisted it up under his deck for cleaning! Now it don't get any easier than that..

Welcome back! Talk about price per pound, the last two summers down the shore flounder has to be running about $300 per pound, between the price of gas at the docks, a 95 gallon tank and two flounder in two years, it's probably double that!
