Hi. New to the forum. I just purchased an Oklahoma Joe's Highland smoker and assembled it tonight. I plan to purchase new thermometers, but I have a very noob question. The pit came with one thermometer which I installed. But theres a second hole for another thermometer.

What recommendations do you have for filling in this space?
Thanks in advance.

It should've came with a 3/4'' black iron pipe plug. If not you can pick up one up any hardware store.
Personally I plugged the Thermo holes that where on my Okkie Joe and drilled them about 4'' above the cooking grates and replaced the thermo's with two of these because the thermo that came with mine were way off.
Tel-Tru BQ300 Barbecue Thermometer, 3 inch black dial with zones, 4 inch stem, 100/500 degrees F

Thanks a ton. I'll check the hardware store. I was looking into the Tel-Tru's, but I still didn't know what to do about the existing hole. This helps.
