I had a chargriller super-pro / SFB & cooked on it for 10 years till literally the legs fell off.
I learned to cook well on it BUT it was the worst manufactured item I'd ever bought ( ok it was $88)
Fast forward 16 years after buying the CG/ SFB I got the CGK as a surprise birthday present!
Been cookin as my main cooker for 1 month, cleaned out today to take a peak after 12 mixed ( some long & slow some high heat.
Charcoal grate looks good , minimal change.
Fire shell looks good , no porceloin cracks or rust.
In mine I use a basket, to protect the firebox, concentrate the fire etc.
I'm thinking with some care ( heck I kept a super pro cooking 10 years) I can make last a long time!
